Kalarippayattu is one of the oldest fighting systems in existence, originating in Kerala, South India. It is a comprehensive martial art that includes strikes, kicks, grappling, weaponry, and healing techniques. The name "Kalarippayattu" is a combination of two words: "Kalari" meaning battlefield or combat arena, and "Payattu" meaning practice or exercise.
